Honda Sunday Service 16/08

A new venue for the Sunday Service calendar as we head to Honda's Bracknell HQ

After years in the mire, Honda is very much back on the PH radar with the superb new Civic Type R and the forthcoming NSX. So what better time to introduce Honda UK onto the Sunday Service calendar?

We're heading to Bracknell on August 16 with 100 spaces available. Sadly there just isn't the room for any more. As well as the normal Sunday Service attractions of like-minded PHers and some great cars, Honda can also offer free breakfast, a goody bag and some very special vehicles: the old Civic Type R Mugen alongside the new car, a very late S2000 and a wonderful NSX 3.2. Lots of just kicked in opportunities there!

The gates at Honda will open from 0900h on the 16th; as always please do not arrive before then as you won't be able to get in. Donations will be invited during the morning to raise money for Honda's chosen charities: BEN, the MacMillan Cancer Trust and the Sick Children's Trust. Anything that can be given will be appreciated!

So a new venue, new cars and new bacon sandwiches - sounds good, right? Add your name to the calendar here and we'll see you on the 16th!

Honda UK address:
Cain Road
Bracknell
Berkshire
RG12 1HL

We look forward to seeing you there.

Presumably the "100 spaces" is a cars limit. Any limitations on number of passengers per car?

Never been to a Sunday service, how does it work? Do you have to come alone or can you bring a friends or two?

The 100 spaces is purely the number of cars (generally limited by how much parking a venue has) - Guests are welcome so bring them along!

Just to be clear, all you need to do is sign up to the calendar. Then, on the Wednesday before the event you'll be emailed final joinging instruction and a windscreen "badge" to display on your way into the event. (it is one badge per car, not per passenger!)

Then you turn up on the sunday morning, have a good look around at the precious PH metal, enjoy the host's hospitality (bacon!) and generally have a nice morning out. And all this is FREE!

However, as you may have noticed they fill up fast!

Boo, I hoped this would be Honda in Swindon. They've got room for more than 100 surely? And they are closer to me smile

Knowing how popular these events are I'm surprised they've chosen a venue with very limited parking.

We like to visit a variety of venues throughout the year and try to balance the number of spaces against the uniqueness of the venue - in this case the lack of parking is outweighed by the fact that Honda are pulling out the stops for us and are really keen on us attending.

If you didn't make it onto the list then keep checking back as people often drop out (which promotes those on the reserves list) or equally keep your eyes peeled for future events.

I'd be happy to come as a passenger with someone else - I'm on the reserve, but if I migrate to the main list I'll be in the shed, so ideally I'd like to relinquish a spot for a more PH vehicle! Based in TW9 London, but can travel to meet up if need be.
Likewise happy to take others.

There is a fair bit of extra parking within walking distance, either at the running horse pub (5 min walk) or the town centre (5-10 min walk) if people arent familiar with the area.

What is the deal on walking in, if we don't make the list?
