Hi All

I've got a question concerning the install of the multiple wiring harnesses from Ultima (loom), LS engine ECU loom, and the Stack display harness:

1) Where all do they inter-connect?

2) What is the best way to connect speedo, tach, oil pressure, oil temp and water temp to both ECU system and Stack system - are there different senders for both (if so, where are the senders located?)

3) How do I connect the stack fuel level sender to the Ultima Fuel level sender system?

4) If I connect the ecu speed sender on the rear wheel driveshaft, can I run Stack speed sender on front wheels? If so, what is a good place to get a reading?

Thanks!

What display or gauges do you have? For me with st700 and pro control I did this:
I used stack sensors for everything other than revs and you can use the factory feed for that.
What engine? On an LS7 you can put a water temp sensor in the blanked off port at the back right of the engine, just near the last header pipe.
Oil temp and pressure I've taken off a block at the bottom of the engine, not sure on other engines.
Speedo I've got on the front wheel - don't get wheelspin on the front so the speed should be constant.
Fuel sensor was the only Ultima sensor I used, Richard or Andy can give you the ohm settings you'll need to configure it.

For connecting the stack sensors you're best off using a stack loom, keeps it simpler and they work as intended.

I'm sure you can integrate them into the existing wiring but you'll probably need to mess about with pull up resistors for it.

I have the stack 8130 with an LS3...

How did you wire the revs? Stack has one wire labeled ES which is for the tacho, and the LS ECU has a tacho output wire... Ive been told to connect these with a 1K ohm resistor on the battery red wire, but I do not know what that means?

Also, can you please post a pic of how you installed the speedo sensor on the front.

Thanks

Wire the Stack fuel sensor wire to the same place as the Factory gauge on the back of the fuel tank change over switch. You don't need to know the resistance. You go into the Stack menu and tell it the tank is empty and it records the value. You then stick in 5 litre and take the reading. add another 5 and take reading etc. until tank is full.

Why mess with speedo on the front wheel just modify the bracket on the gearbox to add the Stack sensor beside the one for the ECU.
