£100K Garage: Harrison Kirby

Harrison's slowest car is a Clio V6, his family car is a Hemi Jeep and the daily driver is a V10 - nice work!

Name: Harrison Kirby
Previously owned: Rover 200, Renault Megane Coupe 1.6, Renault Megane Coupe 2.0 (F7R), MG ZS 180, Renault Clio 182, Seat Ibiza Cupra Turbo
Currently owned: Alfa GT
On the shortlist: "A family car to take the little one to school in and also for carrying suitcases down to Cornwall each year, a car for art, a rear-wheel drive driver's car for the dry, a four-wheel drive driver's car for the wet and a Supra with a huge turbo. This is all on the basis that petrol is free..."

Jeep SRT-8 6.1 V8 Hemi
Cost
: £14,995
Balance: £85,005
Why I chose it: "Primarily family cars need to be large enough for shopping and pushchairs, high enough to make the Missus feel important plus comfortable and safe enough for journeys to Cornwall. But most importantly it must be able to beat fancy pants generic Range Rover Sports at the lights. Sorted."

Renault Clio V6
Cost
: £15,500
Balance: £69,505
Why I chose it: "One for art. A Clio? For art? You may laugh but art isn't just about being pretty. It's more about the message and the story behind the piece, and future value. I absolutely love it I would enjoy washing and detailing it every day, and then listening to it for a bit."

TVR Cerbera
Cost
: £13,500
Balance: £56,005
Why I chose it: "Rear-wheel drive driver's car! No traction control, no stability control, just 1,100kg, 400hp and a driver focused console. This one has just had its engine rebuilt and is a steal at this price! Please somebody lend me £13,500?" [It was too much of a bargain for someone to pass up as a deposit has now been taken. Other Cerberas available here. - MB]

Toyota Supra
Cost
: £16,895
Balance: £39,110
Why I chose it: "Call it what you want, but to me there's nothing better in the car world than a Supra with a huge turbo sucking it mountains of air then pushing it out the dump valve with a huge deep angry 'psssshhhhh!'. The obsession started in Gran Turismo then moved on to The Fast and The Furious, now here is a better version which is available to me in the UK, in real life! It looks beautiful and I know it will sound awesome as the 2JZ-GTE engine is the best sounding six-cylinder engine ever made. This one in particular has been built as a fast road car to be used every day. Absolutely perfect." [Annoyingly another car with a deposit placed. See here for the remaining Supras on PH. - MB]

Audi RS6 Avant
Cost
: £35,995
Balance: £3,115
Why I chose it: "The daily driver - the best all rounder and one for the wet. My current daily driver is a 1.9-litre four-cylinder Alfa GT diesel and I could think of nothing more appropriate than moving up to a 5.0-litre V10 turbo! The Missus would also approve of the badge. Looks like an absolute boss as well. Very well proportioned car."

That's my old Cerbera! Indeed it was me who fitted the Readman engine after the old engine died when one of the the Ill fitting ACT coolant hoses came off on the motorway. Tremendous car- hope it makes someone as happy as it did me.

On another note... Ermm... Great garage.

If you are a wannabe American, otherwise you would take a Range Rover and be saying the same thing about Jeeps!

Toyota, bit of an odd choice.

Cerbera, Clio - V6 and RS6 inspired.

Best comment so far.

That RS6 is nicely proportioned - relatively speaking - but it's ENORMOUS in every one of those dimensions ;0

Forget supermarket parking spaces, forget fitting into spaces in rows of cars even with all the trick parking aids in the world - hell, some driveways will be challenged cos it's over 16' long - not far short of and about the same width as a W140 S Class!!

One regularly parks next to the dogvan - and would easily swallow it - it's almost cartoony-large

Sounds nice tho - the saloon is actually longer too IIRC (by a tiny amount)

Agree with this, Just bought a C6 RS6 myself and parked next to my e60 530d it's almost comical. Massively larger in every dimension yet when you're in the car it doesn't feel as big to drive as it looks. Can vouch for the sound, it's immense.

Never liked the Clio V6 as a car to actually own but they do look cool. Always liked those Supra's and TVR's. The 6.1 hemi is also good even if only to make the rs6 feel (relatively) economical!

Nice selection, especially the SRT Jeep! 6.1 litre Hemi can only be better than the pussy 5 litre RR pansies. smash (Although I wouldn't want either!)smile

In Love with the Jeep SRT8 6.1 ! thumbupbiggrin

This car is a real MONSTER wobble much more impressive to drive and even faster than the new WK2 SRT8 6.4 (even though the 6.4 is more powerful, the car weighs nearly 500 kg more than the 6.1...)

One of the best SUV's ever made... so Badass !!!!
