AMOC Brands Hatch 5th & 6th Sept
Discussion
Whose coming along to Brands Hatch next weekend?
We are on the Grand Prix circuit on Saturday and the Indy on Sunday.
Track parades for Astons are on both days, at lunchtime. Parking for anyone with an Aston Martin will be along the pit straight. Hospitality for AMOC Members is in the downstairs suite overlooking the start/finish line and right by the tunnel to walk across into the centre paddock.
Hope to see some of you there.

You don't need to be an AMOC member to join the Aston parking or go on the track parade.

Dave.
I saw the Sunday track parade, with 63 cars. Pleased that you got 3 laps.
We had an interesting weekend - the clutch went during testing on Friday afternoon, so headed home to Wiltshire to fix it. Missed Saturdays racing unfortunately but made Sunday. The Equipe qualifying and race was all a bit too exciting: an mg flipped onto it's roof, very slowly and gently so driver was unhurt and car hardly marked, TVR blew the diff sending oil everywhere. I was first on the scene and had multiple spins down the pit straight, ended up facing the oncoming cars. Of the following cars, some hit the pit wall, some hit other cars - thankfully everyone was ok and all got out for the race other than John Pearson in his MG and Rob Cull's TVR. In the race, we had a succession of oil going down and cars going into the gravel, after the safety car went in, another car had a big off on the straight and it was red flagged.
David had a better race, started 7th and finished 2nd. By that point, there was so much cement dust down on the pit straight to absorb the oil, we came away from the pit wall covered in it!
The Club hospitality suite was busy all weekend and it was good to have the sun to sit out on the 'decking'.
Great to chat to those who came by the garage. Apologies to one of you, whose name I didn't catch, when I didn't have time to stop and have a proper chat when you came round - hopefully next time.
Last meeting of the year will be Silverstone on 10th October.

I was there yesterday (Sunday)and enjoyed it very much. Anne pirouetting gracefully down the main straight was a sight to behold followed by the sickening thud of another car into the pit wall. Commentator described the car as suffering minor damage. Not from where I was sitting. Glad everyone was OK.
60+ Astons on track. Would love to see some footage from track-side.
Well done to all involved in organising and racing. An excellent day.

Does anyone have any photos of the parade lap, or found any on the Internet?
There are some here of the racing, not Anne spinning though.
