RE: Jaguar F-Pace actual image!
Friday 4th September 2015
Given how extensive the pre-launch hype has been, there are very few surprises in how the Jaguar F-Pace looks; bit of F-Type here, some XF there and a sense that the C-X17 was much closer to production than was ever let on. Bit like the C-X16 then...
Jaguar F-Pace actual image!
Teasers are done with, the show debut is very soon and here's a real pic of the F-Pace! [Vid now added]
But still, this is a first look at a new production Jaguar, its first SUV no less, and so probably worth a quick look. The full debut will be on the September 14 so expect full details then; the reveal will be livestreamed with updates via Twitter - natch - via the #FPACE hashtag.
There's little else to divulge now given much of the information is already out there. Bring on the prices and specs to argue over!

I think they've done a decent job of this. They've successfully converted the jag design language into the new format. Unlike the disaster of the Tesla SUV which only succeeds in looking really heavy.

Chinese manufacturers will have reverse engineered from that vid and will have production ready look-a-like models in time for Frankfurt motorshow (week after next) I think they've done a decent job of this. I think it a handsome addition to the SUV ranks, certainly a more cohesive blend of Sports car design cues and an SUV body than Porsche managed with the Cayenne, a 911 front glued onto a Touareg, though later ones and the Macan are more successful, this is an SUV with hints of F type and it looks great.
I have long since given up on hating SUV's, this is just what buyers want and what cars look like now.

What I do mind is that they use this as an excuse not to produce an estate XF/XE
Why...?Estates/Tourers are a niche market which don't really sell in what are most companies major market places, so it's hardly surprising that what does sell in those markets in bigger volume is ahead of the development queue.
