Porsche 911 GT3 RS: Pic Of The Week

We've been out on track in the 991 GT3 RS - story to come, for now here's a pic for your desktop

Porsche says the new GT3 RS "contains the maximum amount of motorsport technology that is possible today in a street-legal 911". So we did the obvious thing and took it to a race track, in this case Donington. Being sensible we'd have done this within the relative safety of a regular track day among other road cars. But we're not. And we decided to test Porsche's boasts by taking it on a test day to see if it really can mix it with proper racing cars.

Find out how we got on when the story goes live on Sunday. For now here's a suitably evocative shot of the RS disappearing over the brow into McLeans and showing more wing than most of the passenger jets on final approach to the adjacent East Midlands airport.

That's a terrible photo. The car is almost out of shot and half the image is an out of focus tyre wall confused

Blimey, I'd hate to see the other pics that didn't make the cut!

Is this like a 'spot the ball' competition?

Erm, you realise the intention is that you download this shot and use it as your desktop? Hopefully makes more sense scale-wise in that context. Take the point about the 'spot the Porsche' thing when viewed as a thumbnail but the composition (I think!) works when used large.

Cheers,

Dan
