I see you are in Berkshire, I used an independent based not too far from Reading for my last service. The cost was similar to main dealer quote, they provide a great service.

Give them a call and speak to John.
Cheers,

Here is another independent http://www.spellboundcars.com/aston-martin-service...
Had my 2011 V12 Vantage serviced by them in September, great attention to detail lots of Aston knowledge and a great place to have a nose around.
Call Andy Weller.

Hi,
I had a 2006 V8 from 2008 to Sept 2014 and during the that time it was serviced while under warranty by Lancaster Reading then by Rick at DMS Derby until his companies demise then back into the dealer network. When I came to Px it against my V12 it made no difference and as I said just had my V12 serviced by Spellbound.
My preference for Spellbound was direct access to Paul who serviced my car, and that it provided better value for money. The V12 is a keeper and I'm am sure that if/when I eventually part with it as long as it's been properly look after it doesn't make a great deal of difference in my opinion.

Hi - thanks for the replies.
You both mention independents, do you think after 8 years getting the 'Aston Martin main dealer' stamp is less important?
What would you think mate - if you were buying a 9 year old car? My experience is that a MD stamp shows its had oil and filters done but little else - unless you catch a glimpse sight of an advisory sheet saying it has been on it roof once and needs two leaky rear damoers replaced but that the owner chose not to fix...You both mention independents, do you think after 8 years getting the 'Aston Martin main dealer' stamp is less important?
You'll never get the main dealer price down to that of an independent but with a wee bit of judicious haggling you will not be far off.
It is important to look at the overall ownership experience. A good relationship with an indy gets you great servicing rates but an effective relationship with a dealer gets you fabulous trade in deals and market exposure.
Always have a foot in both camps

Just had my 8 year service done on my V8 Vantage at a main dealer for £850. It would have been £150 less at an independent but my closest one is a 3 hour drive which given that the main dealer collect from my house just wasn't worth the hassle. DAE quote service costs here:
