We have the dinner thread already but for me, Christmas Day breakfast is just as important, in-fact I think I look forward to it even more as it'll be the cure for having a slightly fuzzy head from the day before!

So, what are we all having? Smoked Salmon? Eggs Benedict? Full English? Kedgeree?

For me, it'll be a fully loaded sandwich of the best quality bacon I can find, black pudding and a fried egg or two.

I think a getting Christmas day breakfast right is a challenge, you don't want anything to heavy or extensive but enough to soak up the night befores achievements. I think OP has the right idea, id perhaps go sans black pudding and go with a couple of nice sausages instead.

Bucks fizz and good strong coffee. Smoked salmon and lightly scrambled eggs, served on a toasted muffin with a side of my current favourite breakfast item, avocado smash.

Good question that.

When the kids were at home I used to cook a large ham in coca cola a few days before Christmas and for the big day's breakfast we always had thick cut slices of cold ham, lots of lightly fried eggs, (I like my yolks runny), freshly cooked french sticks with unsalted butter and tomato ketchup. The drink selection was always tomato or orange juice, bucks fizz, tea and coffee.

Now it's just my wife and I at home we sometimes have porridge with butter, brown sugar and baileys poured over it or a lazy eggs benedict with bought in ham and packet hollandaise, the drinks are still the same though.

Eggs Royale (Eggs benny with Smoked Salmon instead of Ham) and a strong coffee.

If I start the fizz at breakfast I struggle past the first parsnip.

Full English so it fills you up; Christmas dinner is always late and ends up being dished up at around 3-5pm so the big breakfast will carry you through without getting hungry.

Most likely shredded wheat, coffee and licorice allsorts.

No time for faffing around with poncy breakfasts when there is Lego to be built.

First had porridge and Baileys in Ireland, it just takes it to another level, (it also lifts your alcohol level back up to the night before so no driving after breakfast on Christmas Day).

This year we're having a continental style breakfast of chocopain, cheese, ham, brioche and a bottle of fizz.

Bucks fizz and cake I suspect, although I'll probably have a little bit of cereal before parkrun as well.
