So my Tuscan is due for a full re-trim in April, and whilst i've got a few ideas of what i'd like, i'm worried that i'll miss an opportunity to do some other bits maybe with some mood lighting, and/or stereo. I'm also looking for thoughts and ideas on whether I should drastically change the colour.

The paint is Ferrari Avio Met:

And the interior carpets were re-done a couple of years ago by Dave the Trimmer using the last of the original stratus blue carpet from the factory.

As well as the boot..

I'm currently thinking of dark grey leather, with a lighter grey alcantara, plus some led lighting. Very similar to this one which i think is a PHers car?:

However I keep thinking maybe something along these lines might work well:

Or maybe some brown with brown alcantara (this looks great but maybe it's the seat design rather than the colour?)

So, have you had yours re-trimmed and changed the colour? Or have you done some interior work that's made a massive benefit such as lighting, or heated seats etc? I'd love to hear any thoughts, good or bad, what to avoid etc.
Will it affect the value if i go away from the original spec?
If I go to a much darker interior.. can I get away without doing the boot?

Oh and anyone got any pics of a darker mk2 interior?

biggrin

There was an article in Sprint about 1-2 years ago by a chap who had done quite a number of changes (both interior and underbonnet) to his Sag... Probably a PH'er - so might be able to advise on here...

Might be worth digging out a copy and having a read, as some of the ideas where pretty good...

That first interior looks lovely, we have a mk 1 with the same colour interior as yours. Have you seen the silver tuscan done by dave the trimmer with the Hertz speakers? Its not dissimilar to the that one and is what we were thinking of doing to ours.
Our original pioneer stereo packed in and we replaced it with an alpine which neither of us liked so now just fitted a Pioneer DEH-X9600BT which so far seems to be excellent.

I've had mine done last year.
Went from Bentley Sapphire Blue exterior and dark blue carper and grubby gray and dark gray leather interior -

To Ferrari Pearl Alloy with spectraflair and dark blue carpet and dark blue and light gray leather interior -

Goes faster now as well wink

That was me. Have a look at the interior wiki thread on the Sag/T350 forum. It can be accessed by the Exterior colour thread.

I've always thought tan leather looked great with blue cars.

Agreed, it's the traditional Italian combination (other than red and tan of course). Works perfectly well with dark blue carpets to add a little contrast like my old Masser:-

Alternatively with such a nice external colour, why not go for a simple black leather interior with some contrasting sections and contrasting stitching, and matching black carpets. I always loved this combination in my old Tuscan, just imagine this with light blue alcantera instead of the pumpkin:-

God I miss that Tuscan cloud9

Love both of the above but honestly I think I TVR warrants something a little less muted than black.

I wouldn't disagree, the interior needs to compliment the outside and not compete for attention. The black suited the bright orange on my old Tuscan, and the OPs car is also a lovely strong colour which needs a muted interior IMHO.

OP. The first black & grey interior Tamora was ALLANB's and is now mine. A great testament to the work of Dave The Trimmer. Were I to be in your position then I couldn't have come up with a better colour scheme. Allan obviously has good taste.

Let me know if you want any more photo's or to see the car.

Dave The Trimmer is by far the man!

Regarding OP your boot carpet colour looks awesome with the colour of your car... If it were me and I was going to change (not saying you should as it looks great)

But I would find a blue leather to that carpet colour and change out the contrasting coloured stuff while leaving the rest but changing all stitching to that blue shade. Just my thoughts.

Whatever you do... Have fun!

I hope this doesn't read as advertising, but if the OP is interested my company can change the colour of leather, subject to where you live.

I could cover there sometime if of interest yes. We have just sold the GF's house (subject to contract) in Cippenham village in Slough, and her olds live near Henley. Down most months. Call or email me if of interest, Rob.

Well, a successful trip up to see Dave (his new premises look great!) to discuss the options. He had some pics of a previous mk2 Tuscan that he did and I have to say, they look the dogs dangles. Hopefully Dave won't mind me putting them up here!

So, i'm down to deciding between charcoal leather and grey alcantara, or.... cream and dark blue...

Black and Tan would work well... But then I might be a bit biased???

Tan looks more orange in photos for some reason.

This thread might help...
