RE: Tax the Rich 'Farmkhana': Time for Coffee
Monday 1st February 2016
Say what you will about the Tax the Rich videos, they are nothing if not dramatic. From rallying Enzos to an F50 tug-of-war, the levels of lunacy on display are hard to draw your eyes from.
Tax the Rich 'Farmkhana': Time for Coffee?
The Tax the Rich boys are back again, and now they have an F40...
By previous efforts then, this F40 'Farmkhana' vid is actually rather tame. 'Rather' being the operative word here, as this still involves a legendary Ferrari precariously close to some very tough looking bits of farm. There's clearly some real driving talent on display here too, as demonstrated by a couple of very nice pirouettes.
We won't condemn or condone Tax the Rich here, as it's a job so ably undertaken by you as PH users. Consider this your 'in case you missed it' nudge on a Monday morning.
Watch the vid here.

looks an amateurish video with an ok car. don't get it ?
I think the point is given the value and rarity of the car you very rarely see it with wheels turning, never mind driven in a reasonably agressive way. As said in the article, fairly tame given the bar set by previous antics, but still pretty cool to see rare cars getting a beasting and not stuck in a musuem / garage

Don't get me wrong, it's look more fun than my Monday morning. But If that rich, why not hire a race track and film crew for the day and do it properly?
An F40 can't stretch it's legs around a farm.
If you want to see a Ferrari stretch it's legs around a farm, look for 'The Ferrari Enzo WRC' vid.An F40 can't stretch it's legs around a farm.
Bonkers-Hilarious.

Bizarrely, dated September 2014. Video production is a slow business...?

My point was though, if I had the funds, which these guys obviously do, that's what I would do. Or do a road trip to lap the 'ring. Whatever, I'd have come up with a better idea than this. Setting up cones round a farm wouldn't really have even made it onto the short list.
Still, each to their own I guess.

Looking forward to hearing your better ideas. This makes a refreshing change to seeing supercars on tarmac; want to see a fast car on a fast circuit? Head to Google; there must be thousands of videos of that kind already. And for those who want some classier car smut, you have the very nicely produced Petrolicious ones to admire.
Watching these cars being hooned around the backlot of Emmerdale Farm is something different. While this particular video is realtively mild, the others have been a blast. I like the fact that there are people out there with the means and ability (and bravery) to do it. It's a much-needed 2 fingers up to the purists.
About as pointless a video as wearing a Patek Phillipe watch while skateboarding, badly.
Nice car however I think I'd probably enjoy a video of it tearing down the mulsanne or around the targa floria much more. Cheap thrills for yobbos on their own private land I suppose but only a few steps away from those "look at me" types revving their cars in city centres and retail estate car parks.

Because that would probably make a predictably uninteresting video, no matter how well shot. Dog bites man - not news. But, man bites dog...?TaxtheRich is guys doing ridiculous and unexpected things with supercars. Taking one to the 'ring or round a track wouldn't really cut it.
The driver on these - allegedly - is Harry Hunt, who knows what he's doing. But I think his hair was longer when this wvideo was shot. https://twitter.com/harryhuntdakar
Just a bit of fun, a lot of Supercar and valuable classic ownership seems to involve temperature controlled garages, shows and detailing, nice to see an F40 getting dirty, doing what it was designed to do, i.e. be driven, though I think F40 owners do tend to not be that precious about them as a rule, as owners of precious metal go.

But if the objective was to get YouTube views because they produced something different, then fair enough, each to their own.
No matter how rich or bored I was, producing stuff that's 'different' but a bit crap so that a random group of people can 'like' it, would always rank below my idea of a fun use of my day.
As I've said, each to their own, I'll file this video under "neither entertaining nor interesting".

You've completely missed the point of the 'tax the rich' ethos being portrayed in the videos.Still, each to their own I guess.
