Looks stunning, enjoy. I'm trying a 997.2 at my Porsche experience on a couple of weeks as a potential future purchase to replace my 987.2 S. We shall see smile

That's lovely, congratulations OP.

Always thought they looked better with the 3.6 twin pipes as opposed to the quads.

No rear wiper either- perfect!

Thanks guys - you are true petrolheads!

Have to say post a long drive today, the 997 gen 2 is absolutely amazing- it's like a razor sharp scalpel with the level of precision you can get in the steering and the way it puts it power down is beautiful. With the exhaust / engine screaming behind you, being low down, a beautiful manual box with a reassuring clunk every time you engage the gear, the perfect brake pedal feel, the low down torque (which I really missed having a M3 ) and hunkering down as you accelerate out of corners it really is a proper sports car.

I loved my m3 and some have asked for my honest opinion on that vs the 997.2 (on a different forum). My view is if you need a car for the family or to go up and down the motorway regularly or something that doesn't cost silly amounts to run the the M3 wins hands down as the 997 isn't designed to make that easy. The M3 is amazing for what it does as an all rounder but for a true sports car honestly the 997 is special, very special - if you can, do it!!!

Nice car, a manual 997.2 will be a very rare car in years to come, good buy, looks great as well.

Lovely car. Looks very 'right'. Was not a big fan of the narrow body 996, but the 997 really does look good in this form.

Horrible colour though. wink

(It's actually one of my favourite 911 colours but then I'm biased.)

Glad you made your mind up in the end OP and it looks like you've bought a stunner. Colour looks really well and I agree with the post above about the exhaust tips.

Best wheel option too but I am biased.
