Hi,

Looking to get my Intrax 12 yr old dampers serviced & whist they are off the car need to replace them with the bars that are issued as part of the build kit - does anyone have a set that they would be willing to lend or sell - I'm based in the North East near Durham.

Thanks in advance.

I have a spare set but it would likely cost more to post them than making a set yourself.
You may get lucky and find someone local.

When I built my car the bars were not included, I had to make my own.

I'm in Sunderland and could loan you one to get some made up, can even give you a machine shop if you don't fancy making them yourself?

That would be great if I could borrow one to get a set made up.

Thanks

Are they not just square bar with holes drilled in them?

No bother, just let me know when. I'm around all this week.

They are just standard 25mm square tube with a hole in each end. You could buy suitable tube in B&Q.
Also they are different length front and back.

Thanks for the replies.

I would appreciate it if someone could give me the measurement between the bolt holes on the bars - are they the same for front & back - Thanks.

With the car sitting on flat ground, just measure the distance between the top and bottom damper bolts, then drill some square tube to those dimensions. That way you can be sure the props will correctly fit your car, front and rear. My tube came from B&Q. It doesn't need to be hyper accurate. The car is not an Ultima so my dims are not helpful.

I've got two sets here.
The fronts are 295mm hole centres.
The rears are 315 on an early set and 320mm on a later set.
