Hi Guys your input please

I currently drive a MB C63 and a TVR Griffith

I am looking at a 2008 58 Vantage Manual and I just wanted some feedback as to whether this is a good choice ?

Yes it's a 4.7

First thing first buy THE book. Link at top i think.
Grants book will tell you everything you need to know about model changes.
4.7 compared to the 4.3 was better torque and more power. Not having driven a 4.3 though everyone who has says you notice the difference.
Console and facia is improved but to be fair its personnel opinion. But from a 2008 to 2015 model there isnt too much difference. The interior is the same but the exterior now has more body work but many will say the older Vantage looks better with the cleaner lines.
From driving point of view look at it from a C63 and not your TVR in comparison. A-B you will clear up the miles quickly and not realise but its not kick in the back that you get from the TVR.
Your looking at a manual which i have as well and is nice to drive/use.
Only "weak" bit, and that is subjective, is the clutch. But mine is on 28k and still strong but some have gone at less miles.

I just moved from 3 years of C63 ownership to a V12 Vantage.

I know you are talking about V8 but - if your budget can stretch to it - have a think about a V12. It is most definitely a worthy 'upgrade'.

The power of the v8 in C63 vs. the v8 (albeit more agile Aston) might not - from a performance perspective feel like an upgrade.

There's a couple of quite attractive looking 58 plate 4.7's around at the moment but they're mostly with Stratstone, I've heard good and bad things about them in the past but the fact they refuse to budge on price puts me off dealing with them.

Most Aston dealers dont really budge on price so dont worry about that part. Depending also if you are part-exing.

How they treat you after you buy it is more important.
