The GT8! Carbon fibre bodied £200K 440BHP 7 Speed V8.
Discussion
It's my understanding that SSII will be the option SSIII only works with V12
Will find out more on April 11th when I visit the factory to spec mine.
Although official launch is not until April I am not sworn to secrecy either just excited
Tried to get mine for Burghley Ed but they laughed and said neared Xmas

Why are you talking about a 440 bhp V8V?
You drive a man's car, 565 bhp with 12 bangers.
Thought the V8 was a training shoe for us youngsters.

For instance, the GTE car running quite successfully in WEC (such as Le Mans 24hrs) is based on a V8 engine and, despite being less powerful that a GT3, it is by far the most technical car (e.g. It takes many more man hours to build it) and the one that took class wins etc.. There are interesting YouTube videos from Prodrive explaining the differences between each race class and what means in terms of car/engine prep.
If this hypothetical GT8 model is actually 'true', it will be the GTE-road legal version, in my opinion.
GT8 (??) = GTE
GT12 = GT3
N430 = GT4
440 BHP sounds like cynical marketing to me .. a mere 10bhp more than a Vantage S, and probably another 10NM or so more torque. simple engine mapping stuff. I don't see AM making any material modifications to an engine about the pensioned off this late in the game
it's the amount of weight reduction that will make all the difference.

I'm happy with my V12SR but I mentioned it to a DBS driving pal and he immediately paid the deposit and we are off to the factory next week to see it and spec his.Viewings are April 6th to 29th for those who have paid the deposit only.
Production starts 3rd qtr.
153 cars in total with 25% for UK.

Why 153 cars - any relevance?Viewings are April 6th to 29th for those who have paid the deposit only.

Its very tempting.
Here's the thing though... at £200k you're not far off being able to buy a 991 GT3RS (avec 'flippers' premium). You're also not far off convincing Noble to sell you a M600.
Both give the GT12 a run for its money, let alone a GT8.
At £150k I'd be all over it, but at £200k it seems a substantial figure to pay for a 440hp carbon-paneled V8 Vantage (without the GT3 racing pedigree the GT12 can claim).
Is there a counter argument I'm missing?
And sorry to mention the P word!
