Does anyone have any idea where I can obtain the bearings/crush spacers for the GKN diff?

Manic, I bought all the bearings and oil seals to rebuild my GKN Diff from Royce Power Transmission in Harlow, including the collapsible spacer at £9.90 + VAT.

Excuse me if I am going off piste and I'm not sure what your plans are but the Drive shaft outer Bearing is 72mm x 35mm x 19mm thick but you can only get a 72mm x 35mm x 17mm so I have had 5 sets of 2mm spacers made up as I was pretty sure that sooner or later somebody would need a set. I need 2 sets as I have 2 GKN Diffs so I have 3 sets of 2 x 2mm spacers if you need them. I paid £9 per set of 2 (actually I paid £45 for 5 sets) and I am happy to charge cost if you are interested.

I was going to put this on a thread including the rebuild of the Diff but your thread came along. Pete

Just so those who are interested to know what I am talking about, here are a few pics.

Old bearing on the right, new bearing on the left sitting on spacer:

and this is where they go:

Shows the difference in thickness of the bearings:

and here are the little spacers. I see Henri my local machinist gave me 11, 1 for luck.....!

Henri is a bit of a find. He charges £40 per hour plus materials so if anybody needs other stuff done, he seems to have all the gear.

Hi Pete, a good find, these people need supporting. I have a contact like this who is always helpful for small runs. Long term though for larger quantities of this type of spacer at standard thickness of say 1, 2 mm, laser cutting stainless/mild steel sheet could be the answer, could get 100's out of areas of a sheet not utilised, and at a very low price. Food for thought! Pete

Pete, my three spare sets have gone. Not sure what further demand there is.

If people want to let me know if they want a set then perhaps me and PeteGriff can work out the most economical way of producing them.

To be honest, if I had asked for 10 sets not 5, I doubt that Henri would have charged me much more once he had it set up.
