I would have never thought of that color combination> If you described it to me I would have thought yuk and kept my opinion to myself. It looks great, nice job. reminds me of my true lack of imagination. Lee
I know exactly what you mean. I remember trying to explain to my wife, not only what an Ultima looked like, but that I fancied a greyish one with a great big orange stripe down it because I had seen a photo and it looked far better than it sounded. It was an interesting conversation. 845ste said:
Jim fantastic the rear extractor. i thinked it.
a curiosity: where there is the "rear tow hook"?
I have a rear tow strap fitted, similar to ( http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/towing-ey... ) which just tucks away and out of sight onto the top surface of the diffuser when not needed but can pull down if required. The angle of the diffuser means wouldn't get in the way if it needed towing. Jima curiosity: where there is the "rear tow hook"?
That looks fantastic, great work!
Which side boards and diffuser did you go with? do you have any shots of the rear straight on?
I don't know too much about the GTR but that doesn't look like a factory exhaust to me, were you ever able to do a back to back comparison with the factory exhaust on the dyno?

Thanks,
I can't find a current rear-on photo.
This is from last year when I had split rim Forgeline alloys.
Diffuser and side skirt are custom made aluminum with a carbon wrap.
Exhaust is also custom made. I removed the original, baffled, silencers and went for smaller, unbaffled ones. There are no cats fitted so it is safe to say it is a fair bit louder than standard but that is only a good thing if you don't have neighbours.
Edit: Updated shot of the rear

.... and some new interior retrimming with charcoal carpet, black leather and orange contrast stitching for the seats and centre tunnel, carbon handbrake cover, carbon wrap to the rear of the seats plus some custom orange/black 6-point harnesses.

Thanks
I have actually enjoyed my amateur tinkering with the car even tho it is all on the cosmetic side. I even spent a few hours cleaning bits of the engine with a toothbrush over the weekend.. which is about as sad as it can get really.
Even tho the mechanically bits remain a mystery to me, I can almost imagine the buzz from building your own car. Almost.
