The WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps the other weekend was the last round before Le Mans; yes, it really is that close now! A win in GTE Am for the #98 Vantage of Pedro Lamy, Mathias Lauda and Paul Dalla Lana, plus a third in GTE Pro for the #97 GTE Pro car (behind a Ferrari 488 GTE and a Ford GT) put Aston Martin in fine spirit for La Sarthe.

With Astons on the mind - the V12 Vantage S manual review is coming soon - a photogenic car on one of Europe's great tracks and a POTW slot to fill, the temptation was obvious. The only tricky decision was which of Aston photographer Nick Dungan's superb pics to choose. We deliberated long and hard but this evocative panning shot got our vote and deserves pride of place on your desktop!
