Anyone know the cost of a full spec factory built 1020HP Evolution coupe?

I read an article which said it was £98,000 for a build it yourself 1020hp Evo and the factory quoted me £25,000 for the build labour of a 700hp Evo so I'd say it would be £120,000 - £130,000 depending on the options you add.

Yep, that's the article, add 25,000 GBP on top if you want the factory to build it and deliver to you.

Would 700BHP be a better option to save the weight ?

I think we have been here before! My standard LS7 is more than enough, dare I say it even that is too much. What do want over 600hp for other than bragging rights. It's a 1000kg car after all.

600hp in an Ultima on HM's roads will be enough for most, but having had more than that it wasn't enough for me on my ancient trek. Each to their own, probably most will never unleash the full power, and maybe a few will do a gumpert/gumball, let them, it's a free country and if bragging bothers you, then you should know that power doesn't always win, whether you look at CC's achievements at Lotus or go for a viper approach. Power can be fun, but most of us won't be able to harness that power to it's full extent. Surely it is power and speed that attracted us all? The foolishness of youth made us all invincible. Go for the best you can afford I say.

I fully appreciate the power thing and at the end of the day you won't probably meet anything during your ownership where you wished or need more than 700

The Juno has only 260 but there again is only 540KG's so 700 in 920KG will be pretty amazing

I think I will go take a look at the new beasts at the factory

Ultima confirmed today built prices are about £100 & £125k respectively 700/1020

Juno,

There is a vast difference between track performance of a Juno and Ultima. An Ultima with a decent engine will of course be quicker in a straight line, but is not comparable corner speed - you have a proper race car and an Ultima is a road car.

I do enjoy trying to keep up with stuff like yours on track though smile

Really - so the 700hp built is £120k, and 1020hp built is £150k incl VAT? That doesn't sound right?

Yep, I was quoted £95,000 for the factory to build and deliver a 700hp Evo and I am from Australia so this was without VAT.

And I was given an estimate of a 3 year wait if I wanted an new top of the range turn-key car built by the factory.

So really, it is a good news story. Ultima are selling something that is relatively expensive and obviously very desirable in a fairly niche market. Well done to them!!

I expect they will be taking steps to do whatever is needed to bring down that factory build time but even so it remains good news for the rest of us Ultima owners in terms of brand prestige and probably isn't hurting 2nd hand prices either.

^^ This ^^
Im glad the factory are involved in the silverstone classic and such like. If they are so busy and the car sells itself (which I think it does) they could very easily; well not bother!
