Aston Martin Vantage GT8: PH Videoblog

Want more Aston Martin Vantage GT8? Of course you do!

Hopefully you're read our review of the Aston Martin GT8 and got a flavour of what the car is about. Want some more? While he was out and about with the car Dan grabbed a GoPro and put together the following videoblog, comprising a quick walkaround discussing some of its key features and then going for a bit of a drive.

Watch the vid here!

That noise!!! If I wasn't poor and had 165k Id buy one for sure.

By the time I can afford one of these I dread to think what sort of st will be on sale.

I love the manual Astons but don't think I want that wing - or that noise.

Brilliant and insightful video Dan, just wanted to point out that they are not the magnesium wheels. Those are the forged aluminium ones, still centre locking like the magnesium ones but slightly cheaper.

The magnesium wheels were on the original show car, these are the ones I've gone for.

Ah, my mistake. Misheard at the handover. Glad you liked the vid though and look forward to hearing about your car when you get it!

And while I'm 'fessing up to stuff I have to point out that the AMG GT's steering isn't actually electrically assisted, it's hydraulic. It still feels too light, has a horrid variable ratio and lacks feedback though! So the point stands!

Cheers,

Dan

Lovely car.

If you are going to make videos with a GoPro, Pistonheads should invest in a few of these: http://www.feiyu-tech.com/products/6/

As an x Aston owner I'm sorry but I do not get this car. It's a Vantage S with 10 BHP and some aero attached all for a vastly expensive price. The extra power and torque is more than likely achieved just by the secondary de.cat.

If ever there were car colour schemes that make them look like a Nike trainer, these are them; they've even done the sole in a different colour to the upper.

All we need now are some racing stripes down the centreline for laces hehe

A much wider track, a worthwhile weight saving, downforce for high speed stuff on track - I think it all adds up to a meaningful difference to the vantage. Of course for the price it should better have. hehe
Love that it's like a gentleman's hooligan fun car.
