Looked to be really enjoying the 570.

I don't care about the tyres, its pretty clear which one looked the most fun to pilot.

R8 seem to have the others licked for noise, that engine is so sweet, cheapest by a mile also.

been debating over a R8 V10plus for a few months now, also the best looking car there.

Porsche comes last in my eyes, that's just about A to B speeds.

570S well I am waiting to see a 570LT :-)

R8's the winner for me.

Have you driven one? The V10 manual is awesome (old version) I think the new version comes auto only

I was toying with idea about an early V8 or maybe even a V10 manual but whilst researching them seems as though R8s do not like going over potholes. Big cracks allegedly develop in the aluminium chassis even when the car has had no accident damage. Debbie downer.

I think all this paying well over list for a GT3 or RS or the 911R is just crazy when you can just walk in to Mclaren and order a 540c or 570s for list price, wait a few months and off you go.

I love Porsche but those Mclarens are really on another level all together.

yes I took out a v10 for 1/2 a day, plus did the Audi full day VIP R8 course in the old model but it just did not ignite that spark and I had the GT4 on order so never bought one.

the new front was a no no, but it's amazing how one gets uses to the new design, and I think the new plus looks, sounds and is a mega thing.
performance is > 458 levels also.

just trying to convert to flappy gears is not ideal as I should get the 991.2 GT3 manual without issue and would go for that.

I would get bored of flappy paddles quite quickly.... much prefer being slower and rowing the gears myself.

I have told my dealer I would like to buy a 991.2 GT3 with a manual gearbox.....most probably they have 'filed my request' in the dustbin biggrin

I must admit I've been looking at the old version V10 with a manual box. Apparently, they are holding their price quite well too. Yes the new version is semi auto only.

Yep but like IMI A says above, the aluminium frame suffers from stress fractures.

The other problem with them is everyone in an Audi wants to race you.....drive through some city centres and you get a following....like the Pied Piper of pie-keys biggrin

Not the best track to test those on.

Llandow is only a mile long and very tight. Great fun in an Elise or Caterham but those 3 need somewhere bigger to play.

I have the new R8 v10+ as an everyday car so the dual clutch isn't a concern. It is bloody ballistic and has enormous traction as you would expect. Great car.

hehe

R8 sounds the best. Mac looks the best. 991 easiest to live with / most practical. It's about time Porsche built an affordable mid-engined V8 supercar smile

I'm gagging for a Turbo S though

...but...you could never make any all important overs in the 570 unlike the GT cars... biggrin

the 570 will be almost 200kg lighter than either of the other 2ncars in the video. That alone makes it a no brainer as the better car to drive although that v10 does skew things more than a bit back in favour of the R8...
