Great result for car 77!
Discussion
The Morgan did 98.2 seconds in qualifying, Perry 105.8, so 7.7% difference between them.
The JE crossover should make a real difference to his car next year.
To get to 2nd in the race from 9th on the grid was brilliant.
Made up for being behind a 1970s Escort 1600 after qualifying.
Must have been down to the brilliant work by the pit crew, as Phazed said.
That driver changeover halfway through the race was.....awesome (I think he said).

That's very impressive...just as well they don't impose the 107% rule LOL.The JE crossover should make a real difference to his car next year.

You can never judge a future classic grid by the description of the entries.
Forgot to say, well done Perry!!

Indeed - if they had it would have been a 4 car grid, not a 48 car grid. The cars that were placed 1st, 5th and 24th in the actual race would have been 1st, 2nd and 3rd, with one non-finisher (low oil pressure on a 4.6 RV8 Morgan)
Thank you for all the great words. Glad we got TVR to the front again. It was a brilliant race to be in and the GP circuit is Epic, it was my first time racing on it. It has taken me 5 years to get the win in class in "Future Classic's " such is the competition and to get 2nd over all is special since the lead car drivers are two professional drivers fresh from Le Mans I'm told. No upgrads to the engine yet but hope to get that sorted out finallt this winter so still on old school technology .Video link to follow, although it will be short as camera was knocked during the super quick pit stop . Thank you Phazed and Qbee for your help on the day couldn't have done it with out you both cracking day out. Roll on Thruxton in three weeks time where we will have a 30 second win penalty to add to the challenge.
