Tuthill Porsche East African Safari: Time For Tea?

Three years in the making, here's a classic 911 video you won't want to miss

Tuthill Porsche should be a familiar name to PH readers. Not only are they the guys who run the Below Zero ice driving experience, they also reintroduced 911s to international rallying. And put Francois Delecour in it. We're big fans of their work, put it that way.

This is a video that's been eagerly anticipated for a while. It's a 47-minute epic on Tuthill's exploits in the 2013 East African Safari Classic Rally. Yes, 2013, it really has taken that long. Tuthill ran 17 Porsche 911s in the event (with 120 members too), believed to be the largest single rally team in one event.

The video covers everything, from initial prep in the UK to the opening Kenyan stages in November 2013 and throughout the trials and tribulations of a 5,000km rally. Keep a look out too for the interviews with Stig Blomqvist and Bjorn Waldegard, the latter competing in what would sadly be one of his last rallies.

The battle for the win actually comes down to Stig and local driver Ian Duncan in his thunderous V8 Capri. We won't give away the result here, but it's remarkably close after nine days of rallying.

This is a stunning film, one certainly worthy of 45 minutes of your time this afternoon or over the weekend. Even if you don't like 911s, it's a great video about what looks to be an incredible event - enjoy!

Wow..

What a brilliant video, just intended to take a quick look when I first saw how long it was, but couldn't stop watching till the end... Tuthill Porsche seem to be a pretty impressive outfit.
