Hi all,
Long time since I visited this forum. I owned a DB9 between 2009 - 2011 but swapped it for a Range Rover when I got a dog!!
Anyway, fast forward to now and I currently have a 2013 Bentley GTC V8 which is a fantastic car but I am getting itchy feet to rejoin the Aston fold. Have always loved the Vanquish and am seriously considering one - total budget is around £150k.
To any owners out there can you tell me any pros and cons -
I live in Central London but will mainly use the car on motorways and country roads. A bit concerned about the practicality of the huge front diffuser both in Town and on country roads.
Is there a new model planned in the next few years after the introduction of the DB11?
Any help appreciated.
Cheers!

Regarding your concerns, well you'll just have to get out there and drive one smile
Personally I'd not entertain the <8 speed Vanquish, the 8 speed should be within your budget. There is meant to be a Vanquish S coming out which I imagine will be the end of the second gen, that said Aston love flogging a model to death so there could be a 007 edition, ultimate, you name it.

bunnyman, whereabouts do you live in central London? I'm in King's Cross. Come down and I'll take you for a drive... wink

Having acquired a Vanquish myself a couple of weeks ago and having owned a Bentley Continental GT in the past I can tell you the Vanquish is far more enjoyable to drive, it looks better, sounds better, handles better, feels lighter and has a better image.

Yet it can still be smooth (I'd say 80% of the comfort of the Bentley) by choosing the appropriate suspension and power modes.

Tony.....being serious now....I'm surprised that you don't have the occasional problems with scraping the bottom of the splitter on speed humps....I do on my DB9 and I'm pretty careful.

Do you mean changed both? lol.
Nijius come on tell us more about your thoughts on the Vanquish. I keep looking at that black beauty they have at Brentwood.

Both or one of them twice LOL, although my original message must have gone the long way round as Nijius had replied to your post before mine appeared on the site.

Guys I'm currently over 2,000 words into my Vanquish vs McLaren vs V12V review. Believe me it will be worth the wait. smile

All I can tell you is that everyone's who driven my Vanquish has wanted to buy one... wink

As for the DB11 I've already told my dealer I'll be trading my Vanquish for a used DB11 next year. Too long a wait otherwise to buy new... Hehe.

Tonyhall38, That is an absolute drop dead gorgeous car,

Love the lines of my DB9, but your Vanquish is really lovely.
