TVR S3? Probably the hinge bolts are seizing in the hinge bobbins. Have a look on the S Series forum for more information, especially Useful Links and Owners' Blogs.

I have used the Pistonheads search facility to find an old thread on the S Forum with drawings you can refer to.
There are some better more recent drawings done by Gerald-TVR and quite a few more topics dealing with door hinge problems. If the bobbins are breaking away from the door aperture body, the repair is not a quick easy job.

Thanks for that info I have put our tvr as close as I could on the map.
If there are any meets up in the Norfolk /Lincs/Suffolk/Cambus areas we would like to meet up.we did meet with Richard of the Suffolk/Norfolk group at Flixton air museum , when we were still looking for TVR, there was just 1 tvr V8 there, who gave us some good tips on buying.
When we get our s3 on the road end of next week hopefully I will put some pictures up, Hope to meet up sometime but we will keep in touch on this Web site, cheers Anne &Rick

Hello again
Yes the cascade blue is the original colour with cream ,leather seats &trim.
Not long to wait now as 1st Aug for the tax.
Rick has oak veneered the dash & switch insert with oak burl.not a bad job either,
I rejuvenated the cream leather seats, good result with cream balm.
The hood will have to be replaced at a later date aswell as the 2 targa panels,
Engine sounds a treat .
So pictures when we get it out of the garage ,& see how it goes
I will keep you posted
I put an original picture on my profile just for now,but it will look even better when it's back on the road with its new reg plate
