Hi, I'm looking into the sparkplugs & coilpack replacement job, in addition I will replace both sets of PCV valves.

So looking online i've found an a set on eBay & a set on Aston Martin Bits-

http://astonmartinbits.com/models/4-DB9/parts/4870

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aston-Martin-6-0-V12-PCV-V...

The 2 sets from Aston Martin bits is around £100 inc VAT & postage, the ebay one's are £30 for both sets, so £70 difference, not much I know but looking for value for money I contacted the ebay seller asking about the quality & reliability of his parts and the reply was "Hi, you won't see any performance or reliability difference between our parts and the ones supplied from your local dealer. I'm afraid I can't go any further in detail with this.

So what do think? do you think the ebay set are as reliable? would you get the cheaper £30 set or the AM set for £100?

Thanks

Paul.

Probably manufactured by the same company. Just one has the AM moniker tax applied and one doesn't.

doing my pcv`s now, not that bad a job thanks to steves brilliant website aston1936.com. i was tempted to buy from non AM source as they are clearly marked "Motorcraft" ie Ford, but ive been here before with wishbone bushes, they had a ford part number but the 2 letter suffix wasnt recognised by my local ford dealer, they were cheap so i ordered two, they were identical apart from the bolt hole was bigger in the transit one so no good, my ford dealer said that could explain the unrecognised suffix letters, a special version of a generic Ford part specifically for an AM application.
I found loads of Motorcraft EV152 pcv valves on the web etc but the OE ones had a couple of other marking that were different to the generic Ford ones, my worry was that the AM ones may be calibrated specifically for the application and the prospect of sucking loads of oil into the intake is a bit worrying to say the least.
ive decided to buy AM ones, i know there expensive for what they are but i wasnt willing to risk it, there are loads of other parts that do cross over successfully so thats where we can save a few quid
