Thinking about going ahead and plopping for one.
Told next slot available around January 2017 time, and to put £3K deposit down to get my place on it.
However, I'm not getting any finance examples from the OPC as "they'll change by the time it's time to build."
Anyone here willing to say what sort of deals you guys have had? Thinking 10K miles a year, hoping to keep around 3-4 years. Sutton Coldfield and Solihull want £18K at £400 pcm over four years at 10.1% APR which is disgusting tbh.
Thanks!

Mine gave me a quote when I deposited against a 718 and said they would hold that or give me better if it improved.

Yeh, I'm trying to eek something out of the OPC.
Also looking at Halifax PCP deal, and see that they say...

Trying to "get a deal" on something with a long waiting list? Impossible, surely?

Put your order in with deposit and then haggle deal at time of purchase. Over 10 is daft and easily beaten by other providers. The Porsche dealer will be keen to get you to use theirs and will cut cloth to match. The last thing they want is cash deal - or outside finance.

Thanks for that. When you say at the time of purchase do you mean when I'm picking the car up or when it's time for the final confirmation of build? At present I've just put in three grand to have a slot.

I was at my local OPC yesterday and looking to place an order for the same vehicle.
I asked about discounts on the finance as at 7.1% this is way above base rates. However was told there is no deal to be had and no discount on the vehicle!

It's literally take it or leave it!

I was also told that if the price changes from now until delivery I'll have to pay the difference.

I guess it is probably the fact that there is still a very big waiting list as people are putting down money for a deposit!
I was just talking about are used one to a Porsche Centre, and asked if they could at least try and match my Halifax offer. They might do that with a larger balloon payment at the end.

You have nil chance of a deal on a Macan, but on the plus side you are buying into a rock solid residual.

We drove one from new for a year and got our money back come trade in time biggrin

If it's just the momey you are looking for a deal on, try one of the specialist car finance houses like Oracle.

You should get something in the region of 5% APR.

When did Macan come in from 12mths leadtime to 6?

Porsche must think selling cars to UK customers is hilarious - random Google hit on a US dealer, Porsche North Houston, has 13 Macan's in stock and they're available with discount.

And you have to look at a better finance deal as being equivalent as getting a discount on the car.

How can the car manufacturers justify somewhere in the 6.5-10% range when you can get 3.4% from a bank?

Only on the diesel version....has been 6 months now on diesel S for most of this year now.

Petrol S and GTS leadtime is still 12+ months.

Indeed......all part of rip off Britain, and one of the reasons why I backed out of buying one.

Treat it as cash purchase and arrange outside finance a few weeks before delivery - assuming you have no credit issues. Then haggle to see if Porsche will match the deal - if not nowt lost. But do NOT pay 10%.
