Don't have any experience of a KN but do have experience of towing with a VW Tuaraeg, which is basically the same car underneath.

Great tow car. I tow a race car and open trailer (about 1800kg) or a largish caravan (1500kg) and it is easy. Not sure whether the air suspension is an option on the KN or not, but the air suspension on the VW is an excellent improvement and actually makes hitching up easier as you can lower the suspension, position the trailer and raise it in to the hitch.

I know someone taking delivery of a Macan Diesel to use a tow car for a '68 911s to replace a Q5.

Thank you, needed a bit of reassurance before I commit, air suspension is an option and one I had earmarked as required.

The Stability Management System also has a trailer control protocol - it monitors pitch, yaw and speed and can actively restore straight line stability in the event of weaving:

Trailer Stability Management is an assistance function in PSM for driving with a trailer.

Trailer Stability Management detects snaking of the vehicle-trailer combination.

If such critical driving situations are detected, slight snaking of the vehicle-trailer combination is stabilised by individual braking interventions on the wheels of the front axle. The driver can still accelerate the vehicle-trailer combination. In the event of more severe snaking, the Trailer Stability Management function brakes the vehicle until the vehicle-trailer combination is stabilised.

My 2013 Diesel Cayenne , and 2004 Petrol S before that are both superb at towing. Very secure andsafe and economical.

Re the Macan, I believe somewhere I read that their towing weights were downgraded in recent times?
