Fancy changing the wifes cayenne - we have another SUV and I have just ordered a new RRS for September.

WBAC offered just over £30k (as has an Indi dealer), they are for sale (same low miles/ owners/ spec) at Indies for c£35k and at Porsche centres for c£39k

At this level of cost, do I just let the boys a WBAC have it ??
appointment centre is only 6 miles from my house (therefore ultra low hassle)

I'm thinking my best case private sale would be a couple of extra K but also potentially a load of tyre kicking / wasted weekends/ evenings......as I write this I have pretty much come to that conclusion biggrin

Now what to replace it with .....has to fit the stupidly large Chocolate Labrador...biggrin

I always like to offer my cars to forum numbers or PH users before I trade it in as someone who it's a bit of a petrol head can get a bargain

I sold a car to WBAC, they went over my 1yr old car with paint thickness measuring device and counted 2 stone chips. Everything has a cost associated and it was more nerve wracking than the dentist! Pretty quick process and I walked home. Unless you pay a fee the money doesn't instantly appear so a lot of trust required.

What frustrates me is if you have two identical cars on a dealers forecourt they don't price them differently because the one on he left has three stone chips and the one on the right only two

You could just put it into British Car Auctions yourself and cut out the middle man (WBAC)? Or ring round a few OPCs / prestige 4x4 dealers and see what they'll bid?

Try Mike Brewers we buy your car. I only found out about them yesterday after selling my mazda cx3 yesterday morning to a trader. They get good reviews. The online price for my car was £1100 more than the OPC offered as a pex and £1600 more than webuyanycar and Evans halshaw offered. One guy on the macan forum mentioned that he took his car there yesterday and was given exactly what the online price offered, no haggling, no drama if the car is honestly described and he reckoned he had been given £1200 more than the OPC offered as pex.

Independent admission is always going to be pricey and the big dealers get the best slots/ times etc...

30k doesn't sound a bad price for a hassle free sale. Out of interest what spec / miles / warranty etc etc has it? I put my reg into WBAC a few weeks ago and it came at approx £25k - 2011/61 v6 3.0d. 2 owners. 80kmiles. Air sus, bodykit, 21" turbo wheels, TV, Pan roof, 18-way Adaptive seats, etc etc (£80k list).

Only 2 owners and 27k miles...pan roof, nav, camera air system - £13k worth ----- one year newer and 53k miles less (but lower spec)

My WBAC bid was £30k+ but was done over a week ago......so book values may have now changed. :-(

Wilmslow, if you'd like to DM me the VRM + your email address, I'd be happy to help. It wouldn't be in line with PH policy for me to name my company here, but in short we supply stock to many of the main Indys and offer sellers in situations like yours a no-nonsense alternative to WBAC...

OP, did you get anywhere with this?

Curious to know whether you ended up getting more than £30k as have just been offered a similar spec/age car.

Thanks
