Religion/politics, anything that someone tries to instil in a child from an early age, if you are doing it because you sense an opportunity to get that idea in the before they develop the ability to think for themselves, it's wrong.

No... it was an answer to your question about "educating" children in politics. Children can not discern right from wrong, it must be taught to them, hence why they are vulnerable to indoctrination.

History is littered with examples of how far this can be taken and how effective it can be.

Hence the reason any attempt by a hard left pressure group to instill "political thinking" into youngsters should be viewed with extreme cynicism.

That's not the case. There is no correlation between a small political group getting the children of people who I'd assume are already involved with the movement more involved and the massive state sponsored youth movements used by the nazis and stalinists.

What about the scouts? We had to go to CoS services a couple of times a year and salute the flag/Queen at every scout meeting when I was a kid. I also went to catholic school.

I must be an abberation now being a non religious republican .
