6 months ago I purchased a 2007 (November first registered) 911 Carrera 2 with 28,600 miles from a major independent national retailer. During the warranty I took the car to an OEM for a major service. They have reported two major areas of heavy corrosion which would have been present at time of purchase and not happened during 6 months of my mainly summer ownership. Also all the flexible hoses to the brake calipers have been replaced with copper ones, Porsche marked that one as Red on their report. The dealer is refusing to accept any liability so I'm going to raise it with Motor Codes. Has anyone used them before and to what outcome I should be protected under the consumer rights act October 2015 but to what level

I rejected a new car several years ago, but I just used a local firm of solicitors rather than the ombudsman, Cost around £750 from memory.

Good luck.

Isn't the time limit 6 months? You might be a bit too late.

After 6 months the onus is on the buyer to prove that things were wrong when purchased. Your report from Porsche should help with this. Hope you get a good outcome.

Have you tried SMMT ? They've been helpful to a mate of mine in the past.
