They won on Wednesday

Lucky PHers and their 'Win On Wednesday' spoils (and how you can join them)

The eagle eyed amongst you will no doubt have noticed that our weekly Win On Wednesday competition has taken a brief hiatus whilst we amass another great big bag of swag to distribute amongst PHers. We still hate Wednesdays, but we figured that the grey, miserable Wednesdays of Winter are the worst, so we are getting set to start the weekly competition once the mercury starts to plummet.

Anyway, we thought it would be nice to share a little bit of the joy that PHers have been experiencing since winning on a Wednesday. One of the most popular competitions that we ran was in partnership with the Professional Valeters & Detailers Trade Association. They gave away £850 worth of prizes and arranged for some of the top valeters and detailers in the country to clean, polish and perfect the lucky PHer's machinery. As with all our Win on Wednesday competitions it cost the entrants nothing and cheered up their mid-week hangovers like nobody's business!

Six lucky PHers were selected, with five receiving full valets and one getting a full enhancement detail. Basically they made some cars really, REALLY clean. Combined it was a prize package worth around £850, and all it took to enter was a few keystrokes in the forum to enter.

Despite the ever present mischievous nature of the PH office leading to us considering picking out the dirtiest sheds we could find amongst the entrants, in the end we stuck to our normal method of picking the winners at random. However, we actually got a really good mix of PH worthy metal which is always nice.

Most of the winners have now had their cars pampered and we think you'll all agree they look really rather good. There are full write-ups detailing what went into the, erm, detailing of each car by clicking the links. Don't forget, you could be a lucky winner just like these PHers so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the return of Win On Wednesday and enter every week!

This stunning Noble M12 GTO 3R track monster landed at Clean Detail in Doncaster for the full works - deep cleaning, machine polishing, and then a coat or two of top-end Swissvax Wax.

Another blue beast of a car - in this case a BMW M235i lodged with High Definition Detail in Barnsley - had a full exterior decontamination, hand polish, and both polymer and organic wax protection applied, making the Estoril blue really ping.

Down to Putney in London, this Lotus Elise had the benefit of Solo Vehicle Valeting's service - removing all the grime from road and track to reveal some stunning gloss boosted and protected by Gyeon Can Coat.

In Swindon this sleeper E500 had South West Valeting come to visit to restore this mile-muncher - after a full suite of Autoglym products she is less of a sleeper, but all the better for it.

To find out more about car care, the UK trade association publishes a biannual magazine full of guides and information - with the odd PH long termer featured too! -www.pro-valets.co.uk/magazine

Isn't that far too close to hold a pressure washer to the Mercedes paintwork?

I like that E500 'stealth' wagon. I think this has the 4.7 V8.

I won Cholmondeley PAS tickets which was greatly appreciated and a fun day out for free! Hopefully the goodies that we left with Ben at the Donington SS made it back to the rest of the team safely...
