Gallardo stuttering in 2nd and 3rd
Discussion
Hi All,
My Gallardo (06 spyder) is stuttering in 2nd and 3rd gear. You put your foot but it just shudders/bunny-hops like there's a fuel shortage. The garage is saying they all do that, especially with low fuel and on a slope. But this is happening around town.
Any thoughts would be grateful
Many thanks
BJ

Sounds like you need to replace the garage... My Gallardo (06 spyder) is stuttering in 2nd and 3rd gear. You put your foot but it just shudders/bunny-hops like there's a fuel shortage. The garage is saying they all do that, especially with low fuel and on a slope. But this is happening around town.

I write this from prior experience.......
Sounds more like a fuel pump to me. There's one in each tank. If one fails, then the other can supply enough fuel to run the engine at idle, but not under load. As soon as you put your foot down, the fuel lines are drained, the engine dies, the one remaining pump refills the line, the engine picks up, etc. etc.
It's actually a much longer story, but if yours does turn out to be a failed pump, then I have two almost-new ones lurking in the garage. The more-used one was only in the car for about three months, the other only a matter of days. In the end, it turned out that I needed new tanks (!) and they came complete with pumps. If you want one (cheap!) then PM me.
