I am trying to figure out how to connect the unused Range Rover thermistor in order to get a temperature reading on my Megajolt.
But for go* **ke I just can't seem to find any information on the subject.
What is the collective thinking on the type of connector I should use and where to find it?
Thanks a lot.

Excellent, but why do WE need to reinvent the wheel?
Why can't we just use the RR oem connector?
Is it not possible to purchase them?
I haven't found any picture of them on the inter Web? Why?

The connection is simply a single round pin so a standard 'bullet' connection is all that is required.
However you will have to remove it to do some calibration in Megajolt. It may be easier to just screw in a sensor you already have the calibration for (i.e. one of the sensors listed in the Megajolt instructions).

What's to reinvent?
It's simple and common so no reason to photograph it or even give it a number.

Be aware that while a female bullet connector is the solution I and most others have used, it isn't a perfect solution. The coloured coating is a thick version of heatshrink and the temperature in the vicinity of the sender is hot enough to shrink the coating further. It is therefore advisable that you cut off the excess coating at the open end. I twice had to remove the sender to remove the connector because the excess coating had shrunk further and gripped around the base of the sender connector

Steve, my comment was not on the bullet connectors. I know it is simple and common.
I was more refering to the OEM connector which I could only find one picture of on the internet and no part number at all.
Ideally I would like to have the OEM connector installed. But it looks like it won't happen and I will have to resort using bullet connectors like everybody else.

Thanks for the tip.

They are called Japanese Bullets, Kojaycat sells them

Japanese bullets are slightly smaller than the old imperial bullet but would probably still work.

The original connection would have been a moulded on termination for the wire when the loom was built.
Bit like this but would have been black.

Yes, this is what I have seen on the single picture I could find.
I did phone the local scrape yards but none of them would have that available. In fact none of them had any Land-Range Rover in their stock.
Alas, I have resorted buying femal bullet connectors. Which, I am convinced, will work as good as the proper ones.
Thank you all.

I have just done the modification using a 180 ohm resistor and a female Bullet connector. Also shrink wrapped and fits a treat .
