Aston Martin masterminds have do the same, duplication of a Ford 3000 V6 in a 6000 V12 and I think it is much easier with an american OHV alloy engine.

Yup this is true, but try telling an Aston owner their engine is two Ford Mondeo engines in the same casting.

Brammo who built a canam same time as me, made a v12 LS1 over 10 years ago so it's been around for quite some time..... Made immense power with it being very mild almost stock spec.
It was never intended to go in an Ultima though!
