Mercedes 600 Pullman: Pic Of The Week

Perhaps the coolest big saloon that ever there's been, squeezed into a new desktop wallpaper

It says a lot about PistonHeads that of all the cars featured in our recent gallery of supercars, it was this Mercedes saloon that drew the most admiring comments. To those of you wanted it as Pic Of The Week, here you go!

As mentioned in the forum discussion, for a car whose reputation was built on intimidation and a long list of tyrannical owners, it appears far less scary than it may once have. In fact it appears quite elegant, the classy proportions and gleaming chromework making for a very stylish saloon. With tints as dark as this though, there's clearly still a hint of menace to it!

Presumably waiting to collect someone important in central London, the Pullman looks perfectly placed. It should make for a great wallpaper too. Maybe we'll send Tom out looking for more classic barges in future...

For something that size, "slight play in steering" as an advisory at the last six MOTs...?

Mind you, it's only covered 3,500 miles in a decade, so it's probably fairly academic.

What do you expect with a steering box? Silly man.

I was assuming it was being tested by somebody with a quarter of a clue, rather than being taken to the local Kwik-Fit...

How do some people get away with having driver's windows that dark?, in Hackney that would be an instant pull-over.
One law for everybody, please.

Because the person in the back is more important than the police.

I'm scared to make direct eye contact with it, so from what I can see in my peripheral vision, it looks a bit of a beast.
