well, i thought i'd try and put up a thread, for my project car.

i've done a few build threads on a few other forums, for other cars i've built, but not done one on pistonheads,
so i thought i'd do one here....and see how it goes... :-)

i bought the car from a fellow pistonheader. it had had a bump in its past, and had been part repaired.
as with the last e30 m3 i had, i'll be letting a friend of mine do the bodywork...not really my forte.

a few pics from when i went to view the car...

getting delivered......

at its new home.....

so then, after another road trip, i went to view this engine, again from another pistonheader.
a couple of pics of it in its 'natural' home...

a few pics from yesterday, while picking it up...

some other parts i need to get it running..

and then a few pics from today...
taking a few parts off it to reduce the 'bulk' of it...

gearbox removed, along with both cats..

subframe removed..

Sorry, but i think that's way too much engine for an e30. I'd build something a LOT slower but a lot nicer to drive..... But then again, it's your project, so go for it! ;-)

In for this! Will be a rocket ship!

Are you the chap who built V10 NOW, the e46 M3 V10 that was recently for sale?

I was reading your build thread yesterday smile

I didn't realise the turbos lived between the cylinders on those

The heat in there must be volcanic!

Was drooling at it over the summer

I assume you are going to run this on an aftermarket management system? Modern ECU's need most of the donor cars electrical system to be happy.
