Watch your backs in Coventry.....

Just spotted a 'stealth' police car in Coventry - It's a black Honda 4-door hatchback (Accord I think) complete with boot spoiler, nice shiny alloys etc reg'n RN02 VSF.
Saw it twice on Friday (18/3/05) pulling over two seperate cars - both within the space of a hour.

the accord's a type r! also the modeo's reg is BX53AFN. i'd like to say sorry to the fiesta i was playin with on the a444 i recognised it he unfortunately didnt!......hmmm was that 100mph+ sir???......UNLUCKY!!!!

Also saw the other week (down the A46 past Warwick) an unmarked charcoal-grey X-Type, and an unmarked Octavia (silver IIRC)...bet that one's a vRS!

Guys,

In Warwick(shire) we have the following.

Black Accord Type R.
Silver Accord Type R (no rear spoiler)
Charcoal Grey X-Type - Armed response but does pull speeders occasionally
Silver unmarked Skoda
Blue S60 T5
Black S60 T5
Burgundy Omega
White unmarked P reg range rover.
Red E34 5 series IIRC.

Some of these cars are based at Grays Mallory just by the M40, not sure about others.

Main places to be careful are A46, both ways from Cov to M40 and M40 from Warwick to Gaydon and even Banbury.

They've just got a new E46 Touring and X-Type, but both are fully battenburg'd!

The slight rant about taxes in fine, but I'd rather they had these toys than spent the money on Scameras.

On the A46 this morning was a Burgundy Accord Estate with yellow stickers and yellow roof mounted lights. It is apparently a Scamera car. Feckers.

Unmarked Mondeo still in operation in Coventry (saw it in action around Cov Ring Road last night (8/12/05)).

Not sure whether it was the Silver or Black one mentioned above....

2 others ive seen lately around coventry are a light coloured volvo unsure of model c70 or something like that but its a t5! also had 2 coppers in a dark poss black new shaped bmw 3 series trying to bait me in to racing! might of worked if they werent in uniform the dicks!

Seems they've got more unmarked cars than marked these days. So much for 'visible policing'....

Along with the unmarked Silver and Black Mondeos mentioned above, I saw a blue unmarked Mondeo ST220 along the Holyhead Road today, reg ---- EOA. (I'll fill in the rest the next time I see it)

i've seen a silver bmw around the walsgrave triangle/m6/m69/a46 junction area a couple of times now as well.

Be on the look out for a Volvo V70 T5 Estate. It's black and on a 55 plate. Seen locally in Leamington Spa and on the A46 towards Coventry.
