New AMOC website
Discussion
Anybody else having trouble logging in to the new site?
First of all it blocked me for numerous log in attempts with the 'wrong' password even though I was using the one I always had. Then after saying I was blocked for too many incorrect attempts (are there state secrets on there??) it then told me I had to reset it via a link.
Did so but it continues to tell me I'm blocked and must try later.
For goodness sake it's only about bloody cars.

Sadly the new AMOC website has become much less informative and is not as easy to use as it was.
I have seen hundreds of IT development projects fail because of inadequate alpha/beta testing and the application of basic common sense. It seems form has triumphed over function and usability.
If only they had mirrored Pistonheads!

It's s hit........time will tell on wether everyone gets used to it....
Just tried the website and not had any problems, however I am wearing my favourite red trousers and black patent high heels.Tony ,my dear, it's whether not wether unless you are referring to the weather in which case it's blooming cold.
I logged in after a password Reset which seems to require a password more secure than my access to NORAD.
Once in the forum list is a little short but if you go into Model Information you get the list of production sites and then you can get to your old familiar area. You can have an avatar as well

If any are having problems logging in it is probably because the email you are using is not the one registered on their site. You need to send an email to the webmaster at AMOC giving the following information:
- membership number
- forum user name/alias
- email address
- post code
You will then get an email so you can reset your password.
The forum does look a bit clunky but from early next week you will be able to view the forum by 'recent posts' which I think will solve a lot of problems for us who use it. I know it should have been like that from the start but at least changing quickly.
I like the look of it and I think it is a huge improvement but as with all things it will take time to get used to it and will improve as it goes along.

I've tried registering a couple of times but never get the confirmation email?? I do have some red jeans but I don't wear them anymore
Your red jeans, are they a tight fit,if so all the better, put them on and have a go.If this doesn't work put on your red brassiere, this outfit is bound to be successful.
Of course red chinos, very washed out and faded if possible are better or for top trumps red corduroys worn with braces a yellow cravat and matching silk sox.
I also had to request a new password a number of times before the e-mail link arrived.
I don't have any red trousers (under 60) but did try shouting "F### O##" at the screen a few times. That didn't work either, so much for voice recognition.
Anyway I'm on now and it's not great. Let's hope for some fixes soon.

All I can say is, if I had been depending on the new AMOC site to launch my new internet business, by now I would have been ready to slash my wrists. Yes in 6 weeks time it might be usable but for now, just when I was praying for my mega investment to start generating some pay back, its crawling along on its bladdy knees, gasping for breath,,,,one almighty c*ck up!
