BMW M6 GT3: POTW

The BMW boys are back at Bathurst, and look what they're bringing with them

The current crop of GT3 cars make for spectacular viewing whatever the circuit, but the test of Bathurst promises an even more thrilling race than usual. The Mount Panorama track is fast, bumpy and unforgiving, a huge challenge for both car and driver.

Looks narrow too, especially when you have cars as big as a GT-R, Bentley Continental and this BMW M6 thundering around it. The big Beemer is a particular favourite of ours on PH, returning a 6 Series to the world's sportscar championships, looking damn cool and doing fairly well in the process. A Rowe Racing M6 was victorious at the Spa 24-Hour last year, so the GT3's endurance credentials have been proven.

This weekend the car makes its Bathurst 12-Hour debut, a significant and exciting milestone for BMW fans. Driven by Marco Wittman, Steve Richards and V8 Supercars legend Mark Winterbottom, this car will be one of three M6 GT3s racing this weekend and, well, this pic of it loaded up on top of the mountain looked like a great wallpaper to us. Enjoy!
