Whilst browsing the classifieds online the other day I stumbled across this website:

censored

A quick scan through revealed some ridiculously low prices (2004 M3 CSL with 30,000 miles for under £14k! anyone!!). What's the catch I ask?

More digging reveals that the cars are "repossessions and are being sold at realistic prices." You chose the car you want, click reserve and then pay your money. The car is then delivered to you and you have 3 days to decide if you wish to keep the car or get a full refund.

Now tempting as this seems, alarm bells are ringing in my head, if it's too good to be true it normally is. A quick check of companies house shows the company is active though it is filing dormant company accounts.

I want this site to be legit, but I know if I part with some hard earned it will become a nightmare.

My questions are, 1) has anyone or anyone you know had experience with this dealer; 2) has anybody bought from a similar site?; 3) is it a scam and 4) do I pull the trigger?

All comments, thoughts and derogatory comments welcome, however if you browse some of the exotica on the site you can see why my juices are flowing.

You seem to be the ideal "client" for them.

Hope you can afford to lose £14k.

I just attempted to open the link on my iPhone and after the third website had loaded and redirected me I got a pop up- apparently the App Store wants to make me a millionaire! Chuffed!

I will put the money towards the CSL if it's still available...

Ha ha ha, telescope on the roof and all that! I appreciate that it is a long shot, just wanted some faith restored in mankind (and a ridiculously priced CSL!)

Too good to be true deals always catch certain people out who get the blind rush 'must get this before someone else spots this make money opportunity'.

Everyone else pauses.

Don't buy a car without inspecting it first in person.

£14k for an M3 CSL ........ that's enough of a warning sign of a scam without reading any more.

You're a mug, this has scam written all over it. Hardly surprising that sort of activity is profitable when there are so many out there who are as greedy as they are feckless.
