I don't think I've seen a 911 with higher mileage.

Amazing if true, but one wonders if this is a "trigger's broom" of a car! Truly amazing if the engine lasted that many miles and testament to how solid these cars are.

590,000 miles or 949,512km on the original engine. That's impressive for a 996 turbo!

That's awesome. Post has been removed now, how old was the car?

I like the way he set the tripometer to zero so it would read 59 when he hit 590,000!

Pretty inspiring.

I'm wondering how much winter driving it actually did; the winters up there are savage and they don't faff about with grit trucks like we do, but rather just driver tipper lorries down the highway raising the tipper body and steadily dumping grit as they go.

Hard to say but they surely couldn't have garaged it for six months a year and still managed to rack up that sort of mileage.

That's what I was thinking, plus the ad talks about 120 odd tyres being used, including some "winter tyres", so I'd guess it's braved all sorts of elements!

I've driven between Chicago and Minneapolis in December, and it's pretty tough conditions for any car.

According to the R&T article linked above, he got through no less than 124 tyres! 15 sets of front summers; 22 rear sets of summer; 11 sets of front winters and 14 sets of rear winters!
Now that is impressive to say the least...
