Aston Martin Vantage S Red Bull Racing Editions

Red Bull and Aston 'Innovation Partnership' marked with... carbon trim and diamond quilting

It's well known by now that a replacement for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage is due pretty soon, using AMG technology and replacing a car that's been around for 12 years. This isn't that car, clearly, but it could well be the last Vantage special edition.

Off the back of the collaboration that will create the AM-RB 001, this is the Aston Vantage Red Bull Racing Edition. In fact that should be Editions, as both V8 S and V12 S coupes are being offered.

Don't think, however, that these are vehicles carrying race car technology for the road; the Red Bull Editions are less involved than that. The cars in fact been made by Aston Martin's 'Q' personalisation department, giving a strong hint at the kind of special editions these are. Mechanically the cars are identical with all of them painted Mariana Blue as standard, with red accents to the grille and side vents, plus yellow calipers, to evoke the Red Bull F1 cars. Alternatively buyers can choose from Tungsten Silver or satin Mariana Blue.

Inside customers will be able to choose which Red Bull F1 driver they would like to sign the sill plaques, plus be treated to Red Bull headrest embroidery, carbon trim and diamond quilting. What a treat.

Both the Red Bull Racing Editions are available to order now, with deliveries set to begin in Q2. Just the thing to take down to Silverstone in the summer. If you are interested, customers are advised to speak to their local dealer for exact RRP and availability.

I love the Vantage but they really need to retire the model rather than throw extra stickers at it. How far off is the replacement? Got to be very close now. Might you take delivery of one of these whilst the new one makes it's first appearance?

All of them Mariana Blue.......alternatively choose from....
Either they're all blue or they're not. They can't all be blue if some of them aren't.

It says they are all mechanically identical, mariana blue is the standard colour, but two alternatives are available

It doesn't say they are all blue

Does this car come with a can of the fizzy stuff pre-loaded into the cup holders and ready to throw? If so, it could be one of the most PH cars ever. hehe

Love that blue with the black wheels but can do without the red or yellow trims on the outside.

I think it reads weird. "All of them painted Mariana blue as standard" but with two optional colours. You don't say all new Ford focusses will be white, but if you want you can choose from 18 shades of gloominess.

As for the car... Paint the grills grim colours and get F1 drivers to sign the sills like some ste dealer special to shift old Corsas with a st engine and no air-con.

Aston Martin - a brand synonymous with prestige, style, wealth

Red Bull - soap box race

Anyone who buys one is a bit of a moron

Strange partnership. Red Bull doesn't strike me as the sort of company that naturally fits with Aston Martin, and I don't mean that as a negative reflection on either company.

I scored this a 3, only to find the average score was 2! Clearly I was being over generous . Another horrible ugly "cashing in" edition of what is fundamentally a very handsome car. Still, fools and their money...

Try and do the right thing by your current customers as well as trying to entice new ones with limited edition run outs.
