Like Andrew, I had James at Trackaphone fit a HDMI module to my car last week. The system is excellent & can be integrated with cameras (I have front & rear fitted)etc. I had a chance to road test it (using Waze, TomTom Go App & Google Maps)on the trip back from HR Owen in Cheltenham. The Lightning Connector is located in the long ticket holder at the left side of the front coin tray (For SS), which holds the phone in landscape & means you can still access the phone screen (James can put it anywhere, but it's more convenient within reach (Though not when driving obviously whistle ). Voice instructions are passed over BT by means of a very brief phone call interrupting music etc. I use an iPod Touch as a music server to retain the normal iPod connector functionality.
My only slight reservation I have is not with the kit or installation (James is a gentleman, consummate professional & provides fabulous quality work); it's with the native resolution of the OEM screen (reflecting the early millennial tech). I am currently looking at the practicalities of replacing the screen with a more modern 7" TFT (800 x 600 dpi or higher) to make use of the new tech. It should be possible but success very much depends on the economics of disassembling the screen module!
In sum the kit is excellent, providing the AM owner with an modern upgrade to the OEM 'Sat Nag' (& clearly any other Smartphone app you care to mention).
