Eadon Green Black Cuillin

Mysterious retro-styled and apparently V12-powered coupe set for Geneva debut - colour us intrigued!

If you're going to launch a high-end, exclusive and coachbuilt car aimed at big spenders with a desire to stand out from the crowd then Geneva is the place to do it. It's the place the mainstream like to bring the bling but also a showcase for the tuners, coachbuilders and one-hit-wonder fantasists to have their moment in the spotlight. This year promising interesting debuts from Glickenhaus, Pininfarina, a certain Bradford-based outfit whose very name seems to make PHers very angry and a number of others.

Latest and most mysterious addition to the list is the Eadon Green Black Cuillin about which we know ... absolutely nothing. There is a holding page counting down to the Geneva debut, a press conference scheduled for 3:45pm on press day (by which point everyone will be just about zoned out) and a story on Autocar saying it apparently has a V12 engine and, according to the numbers on the speedo, will do 170mph. You know, just like you thought your dad's Cavalier could do 140mph, just because the number was there on the dial. Suggested as a retro-themed rival to the Morgan Aero 8 there's naff all to be going on right now but we'll be sure to check it out at the show and report back soon as we know more.

On a slight tangent, does anyone know of any update regarding new TVR company and car?

For a company that is releasing its new car this year, news and updates or even pictures of test mules have been totally non existent. Is it still happening?

The car will be a work of art, with proven underpinnings. I met Felix a couple of times at Goodwood, where he showed me photos of the car in development. Aimed at the wealthier buyer. Wait and see.

Thinking that. I wonder if Morgan have checked to see if someone nicked the blueprints?

From the patent drawings kicking around online, it's more than the profile that has a whiff of Aeromax;

...With a touch of Bugatti Type 57 thrown in too. Not that any of these things are bad in the slightest. I just hope those narrow slots on the front arches aren't DRLs...

I don't know why, but the front and side profile make me think Conti GT base?
