STOLEN V8 CERB
Brian Kelly's 4.5 Ice Blue metallic Cerbera with dark blue interior Reg No V2 BJK stolen from VIP Storage near Knutsford.
Police informed but apparently unit cleared out over the weekend with many other cars gone!
Please keep your eyes and ears open for anything that might lead to tracking it down.

yikes

Sorry to hear that. Must be hard to shift a stolen cerb though, sad as it sounds I'd be on the lookout for cheap parts (esp engine)

'I can confirm to you all that the entire stock of VIP car sales was removed by bailiffs yesterday, Wednesday 9th March 2017'

Presumably the same company?

If so try phoning the receivers to see if they have the car. Shalila Ellahi, The insolvency service - 0161 234 8522

Presumably the same company?
from the same source:
Just to say that XXXX was arrested by the police at the vip car sales garage in Knutsford on Monday the 6th of March 2017, XXXX owes 100s of thousands of pounds to people where by he sold their cars on their behalf and never paid them their money back besides other fraudulent matters. The police have sized the garage and it's stock pending further investigation. The website has also been taken down!

Doesn't sound good...

Terrible dilemma to be caught up in. At worst in this person's case the car will be classed as stolen and covered by insurance. I am having an awful feeling that this car has been sold maliciously to an honest and unsuspecting punter who will probably face a complete loss on the car. The whole fiasco stinks.

If they are lucky, it's with the receivers or the police.

I drove past there yesterday and the only car in the showroom was a light blue Cerbera

The police were also present and looked to be sticking a sign / announcement up by the door

Me too - drove past yesterday evening and I'm pretty sure I could see a light blue Cerbera in the showroom. It was pretty dark but couldn't be sure. There were no other cars there.

Any more update on this? Has the owner got his car back?

Not quite stolen Cerbera (the car never actually moved from VIP)
Thanks for the concern; I have finally managed to get my car back from the receiver's, at the VIP showroom where it had been in winter storage.
The receivers were helpful but due to a recent home move and sending off the log book for change of address, I had no proof of ownership.
Sixteen years of full service and parts history had been put away safely - so safely in fact it took me four days to find it (lesson learned - copy your doc's and email a friend).
Still, VIP had done a cracking valet job in readiness to sell the car.
So close to losing her; so very lucky Brian Kelly!

I'm a victim of this too, unfortunalty I (along with 60 other victims) have not got my car back.

The update I received today is that the various people/companies who have purchased cars from Richard Gleave and Rachael Gleave (VIP Car Sales owners/directors), have bought them legitimately as they had permission to sell the cars.

The new owners have therefor bought the cars legally and we the sellers have no rights to take the cars back.

Richard and Rachael Gleave have kept the money, they have been arrested but are on bail.

It seems the police are overwhelmed with the number of complainents, with seemingly one officer dealing with the case, a PC Lindfield (based in Macclesfield).

As single victims, we should expect a lengthy wait to hear anything as the police deal with this one car at a time (I have been told by the police they are investigating fraud on 60 cars).

I have set up a Facebook group for people who have been a victim of Richard and Rachael's dishonest actions.

It is best for victims to group together to form strength in numbers, share useful information, join here > https://www.facebook.com/groups/1910144039215591/

PLEASE PLEASE can you post more information on this forum because I don't have Facebook and anyone outside of Facebook is unable to view your group.

Is there a solicitors specialising in the case? If so, can you please provide their contact details.

Many thanks

Out on police bail? Seems strange if the report they were arrested at the airport trying to leave the country with a bag of cash was true.
