The 50 shades of grey car appreciation thread...
Discussion
In the main part, grey cars get a lot of bad press. I am about to paint a kit car (MK Indy Hayabusa) and have been inspired by this grey / luminous orange car, to go for a combo like that. I've had yellow, green, black and white kit cars before, but think the right shade of grey with some colour accenting could look great.

So what are the best looking shades of grey out there?
I'll start with Nardo Grey from Audi, which seems to have found its way on to quite a few other cars

I saw a Ford Fiesta in a grey primer looking colour the other day but when you got closer it actually had a kind of metallic or pearl to it. Nice colour.
Grey is my favourite colour but I don't think out of the 30 ish cars I've owned I've ever managed to have a grey one yet.
On a caterham type kit car I think flat grey with an eye popping colour to set it off would look spot on. Either something fluorescent or something like a peppermint green or the light bright blue you get on some porsches.

God bless the person who had this thing painted like that, sorry that I have gone all aftermarket on the thread, but that looks smashing IMO
