If your car was registered before March 2001, nothing changes. If registered after this, up to April this year, tax depends on CO2 emissions and fuel type, unless DVLA does not hold this information, in which case vehicles will be taxed at pre March 2001 rates. I doubt they hold emission data on your car DOM!

Ultima isn't listed on the gov website so I guess this change will not have any impact.

Actually my car registered in 2013 and CO2 emissions are not relevant (or even measured). It is still based on the pre-March 2001 rates table (which I think is simply engine capacity of over 1500cc and costs around £230 per year or thereabouts).

I am not sure if the new changes will alter that for cars registered new after April.
