Wiper Relays for Mk3 Golf

Hi,

My wipers and lights have been playing up on my Golf for the last couple of months so I spoke to the guy I brought my car from (Who works from VW) and he spoke to the mechanics and brought me new wiper and light stalks.

The headlight problem is no fixed but the wiper issue isn't! (wipers will switch on and work correctly then when you switch them on again they won't turn off!)

So I thought the next thing it could be would be the relay! I thought this would be a cheap part but it turns out its about £30 from the dealer. (Although I could get this discounted from my friend) but before I splash the cash (again) is there anything else I could try? Or anywhere I can get them cheaper?

Wiper relay is £12 from GSF, even cheaper from scrapyard if you have big pockets

Nice one! Need to spend some money there very shortly (Service due!) i'll have to give them a call and see if they keep them in stock!

The shopping list so far reads as:

Oil Filter,
Oil,
Sump Gasket,
Air Filter
Wiper Relay,

Oh well lol!

Fingers crossed it will fix the problem!

Best place I've found to get all of the above is GSF. They keep the OE oil filters (complete in VAG packaging) as well as the OE Quantum Synta oil.

Might try and pop over to their Hemel branch on Saturday afternoon and pick up all the bits I need.
