forums or fora?
Discussion
Which is better to use for the plural of 'forum' in modern English?
'Fora' is the correct Latin plural of 'forum', but many people won't recognise that word but will recognise 'forums'.
My classical education compels me to want to use 'fora' but I just know it will cause confusion if I do. :(

Most of language is defined by common usage - colloquial words and popular grammar and punctuation lead rise to evolution of the language.
Use old English in a modern text today and try getting away with it.
Hence, though in strict terms "forums" may be incorrect, but its very popular usage against "fora" it must therefore be deemed correct.
