P.S. - apologies if already posted - but I'd not seen it and I did search for it (just in case).

Yeah, some radio DJ who'd been flirting with Jodie Marsh on air. His wife decided to get revenge. It was in the papers this morning.

"I am the registered owner and I have the log book"

Now that's an interesting legal point, because all the V5 log book proves is who the registered keeper is, NOT the registered owner. There is no such thing as a "registered owner" as far as I am aware, although one's name on the original Bill of Sale would strengthen a claim to ownership.

If I was the estranged husband I've be starting procedings to prove I was the legal owner, regardless of the name on the V5, that the wife has stolen it, and that the new 'owner' had purchased stolen goods.

Is the Lotus genuine? It looks way too high at the back or is it just the nasty plastic 'aero' parts that have been added on.

There used to be tales, urban legends, of the wife selling her cheating husbands >insert smokey car here< for a few quid..

Look at the feedback and what she has bought and sold.

Doesn't ring true does it.

It may not ring true but it could have been legit. I wish I'd seen it when the auction was running, would have been worth a tenner at least! If it did all go pear shaped, you could always fall back on the eBay rules that say once the auction ends the deal is legally binding.

Mind you, I would have had to be quick! 5 minutes 3 seconds between the car being listed and the winning bidder buying it.....

Or you could get yourself a Ferrari for £10+

It may be no runner, but would make an interesting garden ornament.

I remember reading a story once where a chap died and left everything to his wife.

Except his 911, which was to be sold and the proceeds given to his mistress.

The wife put it in the local rag for £1!

If she was the owner, why would she bother selling for so cheap? Just have the car moved to a place of safekeeping, and sell it for what its worth.

After all, if she WAS the owner,. and had legal title to it, she could claim,(if he drove off with it) that HE stole it.

No woman that I know is that silly to leave so much money on the table (her table no less)merely to prove a point to her cheating husband.
